Simply Blue Group, a developer of renewable energy projects, has announced that Kansai Electric Power Co (KEPCO) has signed a Share Subscription Agreement with its offshore wind development subsidiary, Simply Blue Energy OSW (SBE OSW).
This marks KEPCO’s first investment involving management participation in an offshore wind developer. SBE OSW is active in multiple offshore wind projects across Europe and beyond, and the investment is expected to accelerate the expansion of its offshore wind portfolio.
