Siemens Gamesa contributed to Siemens Energy’s strong third-quarter performance, with offshore wind orders helping to lift the group’s order intake to its highest quarterly level to date.
Siemens Energy reported €16.6 billion in new orders during the third quarter of the 2025 financial year, an increase of 64.6% year-on-year on a comparable basis. All business segments contributed to this growth, with Siemens Gamesa securing two large offshore wind contracts in the Baltic Sea. The total order backlog reached €136 billion.
Orders at Siemens Gamesa reached €4.9 billion in the third quarter, up from €0.7 billion in the same period last year. Over the first three quarters, cumulative orders stood at €8.2 billion, compared with €3.1 billion the previous year. The company reported an order backlog of €38 billion for Siemens Gamesa
Quarterly revenue at Siemens Gamesa was €2.5 billion, broadly in line with last year. Revenue for the first three quarters rose by 11% to €7.6 billion. Losses before special items were slightly reduced year-on-year, from €446 million to €438 million in the third quarter. Over the nine-month period, losses narrowed from €1.3 billion to €1.1 billion.
Siemens Energy’s group-wide results included €497 million in profit before special items and net income of €697 million. Free cash flow before tax was €419 million, down from €727 million a year earlier. The decline was largely due to working capital development at Siemens Gamesa and investment linked to order growth.
Siemens Energy confirmed its full-year outlook, with performance currently trending towards the upper end of the guidance range.
