Vestas receives 274 MW turbine order in Canada from EDF power solutions

Vestas has secured a 274 MW order from EDF power solutions North America for the Madawaska wind project in Québec, Canada. The order includes 25 V162-6.0 MW turbines and 20 V162-6.2 MW turbines, along with a 10-year service agreement.
OX2 sells 96 MW wind farm in Romania to Helleniq Renewables

OX2 has sold the 96 MW Ansthall onshore wind farm in eastern Romania to Helleniq Renewables, a subsidiary of Helleniq Energy. The project includes 15 Vestas 6.4 MW turbines, with construction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025. Commissioning is planned for 2027.
Vestas secures 74 MW order in Germany

Vestas has received an order for 74 MW in Germany from Prezeller Wind, Lanze-Lomitz Wind, and Eurowind Energy. The project, comprising 12 V162-6.2 MW turbines, covers the Prezelle and Lanze-Lomitz sites.
Envision’s two-blade onshore turbine prototype completes 500 days of stable operation

Envision Energy has confirmed that its latest two-blade onshore turbine prototype has completed over 500 days of stable operation, achieving an availability rate of 99.3%, a mean time between failures of 2,444 hours, and the equivalent of 3,048 full-load hours per year. Field data indicates that its performance is comparable to three-blade turbines operating at the same location.
Enel Green Power partners with VR Vision on virtual training for renewable energy technicians

1000MW Lava Ridge Wind Project approval withdrawn following federal review

The US Department of the Interior has reversed the previous administration’s approval of the Lava Ridge Wind Project, a proposed 1,000MW facility in southern Idaho. The decision follows a review of the project’s permitting process, initiated under a presidential memorandum on offshore leasing and wind energy permitting.
White Cross floating wind project in Celtic Sea receives full planning approval

Flotation Energy and Cobra have secured full consent for their 100MW White Cross floating offshore wind project in the Celtic Sea, following onshore and offshore planning approvals. The developers applied in 2023 to North Devon Council and the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) to construct and operate the wind farm and its grid connection infrastructure. The site is located approximately 52 kilometres off the Devon coast and will feature between six and eight floating wind turbines.
