Flender has announced that Tommy Rahbek Nielsen will become President of its Business Segment Wind, effective 1 September 2025. He will succeed Aarnout Kant, who will continue to lead strategic global projects and remain General Manager Americas, reporting to the Group CEO.
Nielsen previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Vestas Wind Systems. During his tenure, he oversaw global manufacturing and supply chain strategies and the integration of offshore operations. He has worked in international wind markets since 2004, including Germany and China, contributing to the development of the wind industry in these regions. Flender’s Winergy products provide drive systems for wind turbines, covering gearboxes, generators and direct-drive components.
