Goldwind announced a partnership with Renova Energia to install what is set to be the largest wind turbine manufactured and operated in Brazil.
The turbine will be produced in Camaçari, Bahia, and installed at the Alto Sertão III wind complex in Igaporã, Bahia. The planned model is the GWH182-6.2 MW, with a rotor diameter of 183.4 metres, blades over 90 metres in length and a swept area of 26,000 square metres.
