Jera Nex bp, a joint venture between Jera and bp, has announced plans to pause development of the Beacon Offshore Wind Farm in the USA and to reduce its US workforce in the coming months.
The company stated that current market conditions do not provide a viable path to continue developing the project and that it cannot justify further investment at this time. However, Jera Nex bp will retain the Beacon lease area off the coast of Massachusetts and intends to reconsider development when conditions become more favourable.
