TotalEnergies has finalised the sale of 50% of its 604 MW renewable energy portfolio in Portugal, which includes wind, solar and hydro assets. TotalEnergies will retain the remaining 50% stake and continue to operate the assets.
The stake was sold for €178.5 million to a consortium comprising MM Capital Partners 2, Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure, and Mizuho Leasing, valuing the entire portfolio at €550 million. Once the regulated tariffs currently in place expire, TotalEnergies will purchase the electricity generated and manage its commercialisation. The assets have an average age of 16 years.
